    Doctrinal Statement

    BIBLIOLOGY
All Scripture is God’s inspired word, written by the Holy Spirit through human authors (2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet 1:21) and is sufficient to guide toward spiritual truth and to equip for godly living (Rom 15:4; 2 Tim 3:17).

    THEOLOGY
There is one God who eternally exists in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt 28:19-20; Deut 6:4-5). All three parts of the Godhead (the Father [Eph 4:6], the Son [John 10:30], and the Holy Spirit [John 15:26]) are equally worthy of worship and obedience.

    ANGELOLOGY, ANTHROPOLOGY, AND HAMARTIOLOGY
God created angels as spiritual beings, some of whom rebelled (2 Pet 2:4, Jude 6) including Satan whose desire was to become above God (Isa 14; Ezek 28). Satan tempted humanity in the Garden of Eden after their creation by God who fell to this temptation into sin (Gen 1-3) and passing their sin on to all humanity (Rom 5:12). The only one without sin is Jesus Christ (Heb 4:15). Sin is a rejection of God and is against Him (Rom 5:8, 10) and its consequence is death (Rom 6:23) and all, apart from salvation through Christ, will spend eternity in the Lake of Fire (Rev 20:14-15).

    SOTERIOLOGY
Salvation is brought through the sinless life and death of Jesus Christ (Heb 4:15; 1 Cor 15:3-4). This salvation cannot be earned through human merit, but only by God’s grace (Eph 2:8-9). It is offered to all (1 John 2:2) but is effective only for those who would believe (John 3:16; Rom 4:24) and the believer is secure in this salvation (John 10:28-29; 1 John 5:13).

    ECCLESIOLOGY AND SANCTIFICATION
The Church was founded by Christ and is composed of the body of Christ (1 Cor 12:12-27; 1 Pet 2:4-10) who are to also be involved in smaller, local bodies (Heb 10:25).  These believers, who are already saved by grace, are also set apart for God who works to perfect the individual and change them to more closely align with His character (Eph 5:26-27; 1 Thes 5:23; 1 Pet 1:2).

    ESCHATOLOGY
The hope for the believer is found in the resurrection of Christ and in their own resurrection (Rom 6:5), looking forward to the return of Christ (Acts 1:11). Christ will return to meet the believers in the air (1 Thess 4:17) prior to the Tribulation (2 Thess 2:3-12). This will be followed by the Millennial reign of Christ with the saints while Satan is bound (Rev 20:1-6). After this, Satan will be released for a time but will face judgment along with the unbelievers (Rev 20:5-15). Believers will then live in the new heaven and earth forever (Rev 21).
